Anna Dombi Tasnadi - Artwork :: Print-on-Demand :: eBook :: Catalogue
Anna Dombi Tasnadi 1933 - 2017
Anna Dombi was born in Hungary in a mining town - Tatabanya - outside of Budapest. Anna started her creative journey at an early age. Her ambition was to become a ballerina. However, tragedy struck at the age of 11 when she fell ill with polio. She was one of the few who survived in Hungary. It ended her dream of becoming a dancer. She studied the violin and unfortunately World War II started, ending the lessons. Continuing her studies in Hungary, she graduated in Fine Arts as an Artist, Calligrapher and Graphic Designer.
I am proud to present to you Anna Dombi Tasnadi’s artwork of paintings. Curating her work, it has been filled with inspiration, admiration, joy and memories. By going through my Mum’s artwork I am paying homage to her life journey of painting. I have formatted her artwork into eBooks.
By placing the artwork into mock-up settings, creates an efficient alternative to enhance the portfolio and showcase the work. This brings a contemporary look-and-feel to the art work.
The aim is to create a Print-on-Demand venture: of various sizes, focused detailed parts of her paintings, printed to canvas and framed. Seen below, examples; Sunflowers, Hibiscus and Poppies.
Anna’s favourite mediums were acrylics, oils, pastels, charcoal, watercolour and graphite. Her subject matter varied from still life, flowers, landscapes, portraits and nature generally. She created and was inspired by how she felt and what she saw at that moment. Her capture of light, colour and form are expressed with ease in the variety of mediums she used. Creating was Anna’s driving force and brought her relaxation.
